Question: What are your hours?
Answer: Sunshine Center-Lexington: 6:30am to 5:30pm Sunshine Center-Salisbury: 6:00am to 5:30pm.

Question: What days during the year are you closed?
Answer: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Truman's Birthday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day

Question: How much do child care services cost?
Answer: Infants to 2 years: $40/day for 5 days a week
Infants to 2 years: $43/day for part-time
Children 2 years and older: $33/day for full time
Children 2 years and older: $36/day for part time

Question: How can I help Sunshine Center?
Answer: You can become a volunteer by clicking on VOLUNTEERS in the menu section.
You may also make a donation by clicking on CONTRIBUTIONS in the menu section.

Question: What are the child to adult licensing ratios?
Answer: Under 2 years there is one adult for every 4 children.
2-3 years there is one adult to every 8 children.
3 years and up the ratio is one adult to every 10 children.
Where children may have special needs more adults are in classrooms.

Question: Are you licensed?
Answer: We are licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and we are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Question: What is our center’s capacity?
Answer: Sunshine Center is licensed for 120 children at each building.

Question: Do you take children with special needs?
Answer: We enroll children both with and without special needs.

Question: Do you use a curriculum in the classrooms?
Answer: All classrooms use a research-based curriculum. The MPP classroom uses Project Construct curriculum, the other classrooms use Creative curriculum.
